Thaqalayn course is an intensive in-person course that will explore various topics related to Islam. It has been designed not only for youth but also those families who are seeking to deepen their understanding of Islam and want to learn more about the teachings of the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (A.S).

The course will cover principles of faith, faith in action, and everyday ethics of life. We will also have sessions on the Islamic rulings (ahkam) so the participants get more familiar with their everyday Islamic rulings. A special Tajwid program is also part of this course, so the students get a good command of recitation of the holy Quran.

This course is perfectly timed for Arbaeen walk. Complete your course, begin your Arbaeen Walk. Our 2-week program is timed perfectly, ending just before the Arbaeen pilgrimage, allowing you to transition directly from intense study in Qom to the spiritual climax in Karbala.

Main Topics

Core Beliefs: Faith, Justice, and the Journey After Life

We begin with Self-Awareness , guiding you to discover your existential mission: “Who am I, and what is my purpose as a human being?” We then transition to Knowledge of God, where we examine Divine Justice, tackling the difficult question: “If God created us equal, why do religions sometimes treat us unequally?” Then, we address the core dilemma of Free Will and Pain: “Why would a loving God create me just to live in a world full of pain?” Finally, we provide clarity on the most comforting yet complex topic: The Afterlife. We move beyond simple hope to build a rational case for an eternal life, answering the fundamental doubt: “If no one has ever returned, how can we be sure life after death is real?” Join us to strengthen your convictions and gain profound clarity about your place in God’s plan.

Imamate & Leadership

We will explore the concept of Imamate and leadership in Islam, focusing on the role of divinely appointed leaders. This includes understanding the religious authority of scholars during the time of Occultation (Marja’iyat), as well as the belief in Imam Mahdi and his significance in Islam. These topics will deepen your understanding of the spiritual and leadership structure within the Shia tradition.

Faith in Action

We will explore key aspects of daily Islamic practice, beginning with Salah, the foundational pillar of Islam, and how to perfect our prayers. We’ll also delve into the power of Dua as a means of self-purification, and the ethical teachings of Islam, including its guidance on environmental stewardship.

History of Islam

We will explore the rich history of Islam through the lives and legacies of Ahl-ul-Bayt, the purified family of the Prophet. Topics will include the spiritual connection with them through Tawassul and Ziarah, their pivotal role and struggles in Islamic history, and the significant contributions of Imam Ali (A.S), Lady Fatimah (S.A), Imam Reza (A.S), and Lady Masuma (S.A). This course offers a deeper understanding of their influence and importance in shaping Islamic thought and practice.

Four-Day Trip to Iraq

There is an optional extension for this course. You can choose if you want to join the extension or not on the online registration form. This extension will be a four-day trip to Iraq to visit Najaf and Karbala. The dates for the extension of Iraq-related activities will be decided at a later time.

Fees for the Iraq Extension:

• Single room: 790 USD
• Double room: 590 USD

Note: You can buy your international Tehran-Najaf flight for yourself but if you want us to buy the flight for you, then an additional $300 per person will be added to your costs.

2. Non-Participants (Children)

For children who are accompanying participants and will not attend classes:

4. Childcare Support Plan

For participants bringing young children requiring supervision during course hours:

Cost: $390 per child (Childcare service is not available on Tehran and Isfahan tour days)

Optional Extension to Najaf and Karbala

For participants and family members joining the optional pilgrimage extension:

Cost per person: $1100 (This part is optional, and the price is additional to the main body of the course)
Includes: Accommodation, meals, flight from Tehran to Najaf, transportation between Najaf and Karbala, and guided Ziyarah.

Yes, children aged 14 and older can participate in the course. For children under 14, we offer special arrangements such as Quran lessons and Islamic stories. If you wish to arrange programs for younger children, please contact us in advance to discuss the details.

Can I request special arrangements if I am a single parent with children?

Yes, we can offer tailored pricing and arrangements for single parents traveling with children. Please reach out to us for more information.

How do I pay for the course?
