According to numerous narrations, Aqeeqah holds a significant place in the Sunnah and practices of the infallible Imams (AS). Several hadiths recount the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performing Aqeeqah for Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Husayn (AS) on the seventh day after their birth. On that day, the Prophet shaved their heads, gave charity equal to the weight of their hair in silver, and sacrificed a ram as an offering.
