Start from your current level
You do not need to know Arabic to begin the foundation course. You will learn to recognise letters and vowel marks, form words and read short Quranic passages with increasing confidence. If you already read Arabic, a short oral assessment can help identify the right starting point when a suitable course is offered.
Learn through practice
Each lesson connects a clear explanation with listening and guided recitation. You will read aloud, receive correction and practise specific skills between classes. The aim is steady progress in your actual reading.
FAQ
Do I need to know Arabic before I join?
No previous Arabic reading experience is needed for Quran Reading and Fluency. The course begins with letters and sounds. Later courses require the relevant reading and Tajweed skills.
What language will the course use?
Teaching and explanations are in English. You will learn to read and recite the Quran in Arabic. This is a Quran reading programme; it is not a spoken Arabic or Quran translation course.
How often are the classes?
Classes meet live online once a week. Each session lasts no more than two hours. The exact day, time and session length will be published with the enrolment details.
Is the first course 20 weeks long?
It consists of 20 weekly sessions. The final calendar will show any holidays or breaks, so the overall date range may be longer than 20 consecutive weeks.
Will I have opportunities to read aloud?
Yes. Guided recitation and correction are central to the lessons. The teacher aims to provide all participants with sufficient opportunities to read aloud and practice during class. Regular practice between classes is also part of the learning process.
Will this course make me a fluent reciter?
The beginner course aims to develop a sound reading foundation and greater continuity in short passages. Progress depends on your starting point, attendance and practice. Further Tajweed study and continued practice develop these skills over time.
